2022 – week 27

I had a go at shooting cricket on Saturday, with mixed results.

When shooting sport, the key is to take a lot of pictures! I was also getting to grips with the various autofocus settings, experimenting with different options. I tried letting the camera take care of it, and also tried pre-focussing on the batsman. Of course, looking at the results I can’t remember which was which!

As with wildlife, if I was going to shoot sports regularly, especially a sport where you’re a long way from the action, I’d need a longer lens. It was still fun trying.
